What is a SPORTS BRA, and how does it differ from a regular BRA?

Regular bras only counter gravity, while sports bras prevent your breasts from moving in all directions.

WHAT FITS A SPORTS BRA?
Sports bras should fit just like your everyday bras. They should be the same size as you normally wear. Your goal is not to have to adjust your bra while exercising. Your breasts should be snugly within the cups, without spilling.

TYPES OF SPORTS BRAS
Sports bras fall into three categories: compression, encapsulation or encapsulation-compression. Your sport and breast size will determine which bra is best for you.
COMPRESSION SPORTS BRAS
As the name suggests, compression sports bras hold your breasts in position by pushing or compressing them against your body. It’s sometimes called “smooshing”, but it works regardless of whether you are wearing an A, B, or C-cup. These bras are usually wire-free and can be very comfortable.
While some compression bras can be used for larger busts, they can cause the “uniboob”, which can look unnatural and lead to chafing. Consider encapsulation bras if you are a size D or larger.
ENCAPSULATION SPORTS BRAS
The Encapsulation bras have one cup for each breast. Usually, the underwire separates your breasts and keeps them in place. These bras are great for high-impact workouts because they reduce bounce and strain. This can keep your breasts supple and healthy.
ENCAPSULATION-COMPRESSION SPORTS BRAS
Combination of compression and encapsulation styles. These push your breasts against the body and hold them in place with the cups. Encapsulation-compression bras work well for athletes of all sizes, especially DD+ figures. These bras often have underwires that provide structure and support.
